Wooded properties and low-density neighborhoods give much of Oakton a different residential character than denser parts of Fairfax County. Around Chain Bridge Road, Hunter Mill Road, and Jermantown Road, you’ll find established homes on a range of lot sizes, including properties where plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems have been updated as the house has changed.

Beacon Home Services provides plumbing, drain, heating and cooling, and electrical service throughout Oakton. Homeowners can schedule help when a drain keeps backing up, the AC can’t keep up with summer heat, the furnace stops working, or an electrical problem needs attention.

Schedule service today when your Oakton home needs plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work.

Plumbing & Drain Services

Plumbing problems aren’t always limited to what you can see inside the house. On established properties with mature trees and older underground piping, recurring drainage or sewer symptoms may need a closer look. Water heaters, fixtures, supply piping, and other components also develop problems as they age.

Beacon provides plumbing service for everyday repairs and larger plumbing concerns in Oakton homes.

  • Slow-moving sinks, tubs, and showers that keep clogging may need professional drain cleaning.

  • Multiple backed-up fixtures or suspected underground pipe damage may call for sewer line repair.

  • Leaking equipment, rusty water, or inconsistent temperatures can signal a need for water heater repair.

  • Homeowners considering a different approach to household hot water can explore tankless water heaters.

  • Persistent backups and other piping problems can be addressed through Beacon’s drain and sewer services.

Schedule a plumber when leaks, drainage trouble, or hot water problems start disrupting your Oakton home.

Heating & Cooling Services

Oakton heating and cooling systems work through humid Northern Virginia summers and periods of freezing winter weather. When equipment starts losing capacity, homeowners may first notice longer run times, rooms that never feel comfortable, or a sudden increase in how often the system cycles.

Larger floor plans and additions can create their own comfort concerns. An HVAC company can check whether the issue involves equipment performance, airflow, or the way heating and cooling are distributed through the house.

  • Cooling equipment that blows warm air, runs constantly, or stops working may need AC repair.

  • Aging equipment that no longer handles the home’s cooling demand may be ready for air conditioner installation.

  • Regular AC maintenance gives homeowners a chance to address developing wear ahead of peak summer use.

  • Cold rooms, strange equipment noises, and a furnace or heater that won’t start may require heating repair.

  • Repeated problems with older heating equipment may lead to heating system installation.

  • Homeowners relying on heat pumps can schedule heat pump service and installation for heating and cooling needs.

  • Finished basements, additions, and rooms that don’t work well with existing ductwork may be candidates for mini split installation.

Book heating and cooling service when your Oakton home develops persistent hot spots, cold rooms, weak airflow, or equipment problems.

Electrical Services

Electrical demands can change considerably during the life of an Oakton home. Remodeling, updated kitchens, home offices, new HVAC equipment, and EV charging can add loads that weren’t part of the property’s original electrical plan.

Beacon provides electrical service for repairs and upgrades. Problems such as flickering lights, dead receptacles, frequently tripped breakers, or unexplained power interruptions are worth having an electrician investigate.

  • Frequent breaker trips or plans for new high-demand equipment may be reasons to evaluate the home’s electrical panel.

  • Outlets, switches, circuits, and other components can be diagnosed when electrical repair is needed.

  • Oakton homeowners who want another source of power during utility outages can explore generator installation.

  • Sparking, burning odors, sudden loss of power, and other immediate safety concerns may require an emergency electrician.

Schedule an electrician when your Oakton home’s electrical system starts behaving differently or a renovation changes its power demands.

About Beacon Home Services
Darrell Perry
Very professional and quality service, what else can you ask for.
Ed Bennett
We have trusted Beacon Home Services with previous electrical work. Recently we contacted BHS to replace/upgrade our home electrical distribution panel with surge protector and included a generator interlock kit. This was a major project and BHS once again exceeded expectations. We were fortunate to have Nelson as our assigned electrician on our first service call with BHS, and we have requested him on our subsequent service calls including this project. Nelson is outstanding. Extremely qualified and professional, with exceptional attention to detail. All aspects of the project were well managed by BHS: Scheduling, obtaining necessary permits, coordinating with the utility company, to the final inspection. BHS handled it all. We also took advantage of BHS financing. Incredibly simple process and immediate approval. This was a major electrical project and I know it was done correctly and my family and home are safer. We are completely satisfied with all aspects of BHS. From the initial phone call to request service, to the initial visit to assess the job and provide the written estimate, to all the follow-up communications from Rebecca, prior to the arrival of the electrician. When the job was complete, the General Manager, Katie, also followed-up with us to ensure nothing was overlooked. I recommend BHS for electrical work.

Dustin installed 12 light fixtures for us today. He was friendly, professional, diligent, and comprehensive in his work. He left the area clean.

Excellent experience with them. I needed them to check my water pressure and replace some on/off valves. Several plastic in/out ones failed at the same time. They were able to come out the next day - a great help when you have a family and don’t have time to attempt a fix yourself by waiting until the weekend and taking all day…to then still maybe need professional help.

They came when they said they would, diagnosed the problem, got (better) replacement parts, and had all three replaced in a few hours. One of the lines was a little noisier than the old, and he even smoothed out the bend a bit to make a wider turn radius so it didn’t kink the line. That fixed the extra noise.

I will keep them in mind if I need any more plumbing work.

Gabriel was very helpful, fixed everything very quickly and let us know what to do if we wanted to do any extra work on our own afterwards

I needed an electrical outlet installed in my attic after a fan for radon was installed. Beacon responded quickly and Bryce did an excellent job. I won’t hesitate to call them again.

Gabriel came to our home to provide estimates for a couple new electrical installations. After discussing what we wanted and making his assessment of possibilities, he provided us with his recommendations and an estimate of cost. With our agreement, he quickly went to work, completing both installations to our satisfaction and in very reasonable time. We appreciate having Gabriel assist us once again. Our thanks.

Robert Nichols showed up promptly and on time and immediately started accessing the plumbing issues I was experiencing. He took his time and explained everything I needed to know about a whole house water filtration system, afterwards he addressed several other plumbing issues that I brought up and actually told me how to fix one of the issues with anoutdoor water lines myself, he was extremely professional and helpful, thank you Robert for being super friendly and easy to talk to

My electrician, Chris Merino , was on time, absolutely professional, explained everything very, very clearly, and was so nice about my questions. It's a pleasure to work with a company that is so responsive, and got everything done that I wanted. All in the same day too!

2/19/24: my second experience with Beacon Electric: Rebecca helped me make a last minute appointment, because I had a lamp flickering in my home. Craig came out, with his assistant or apprentice John. Just like the first time I had this business out, they showed up on time, were completely polite, fixed my issue and found another issue that I didn't even know about. I can't say enough about this group. It's nice to work with them!

October 6th 2026 : third time I've had Beacon Home Services out. Shawn was great, he replaced my outdoor motion detector light and fixed a socket in my home. Perfectly professional, friendly, and the work looks great! And I got notifications and phone calls at each stage to let me know when he was coming, when he was on his way, and that he was here. Can't say enough about this company!
