Laundry room connections needed replacement. We had previous work done before with Beacon Home Services, and we called them. They provided an estimate and held to it: no additions, no surprises, and quality work from plumbing technician Sean Brando. Rebecca from the office set everything in motion. I called Beacon Home Services about my aging hot water heater. Mary and John provided me outstanding service. Mary was thorough with the scheduling, and John was incredibly knowledgeable about the installation. I was very happy to have found them, and plan on using Beacon for future projects.

I had a water heater emergency and Beacon came to my rescue the very next morning. Sean and the booking agent were so easy to work with. They were extremely efficient and clear on pricing. The manager even ended up coming out to my house to help bring a new water heater the same day.

We believe it is a leak in our shower where the plumbing is attached to the back of the shower valve. John L did an excellent inspection to trouble shoot our leak.

Beacon Home Services claims that they are a 5-star service company. After my experience with John Katsiotis, I found out that they truly are. The firm says that it will take care of you. It truly does. The company says that it provides upfront pricing. It truly provides unbeatable, no fuss, no muss upfront prices. Beacon Home Services is a firm that does what it says and says what it means. The remarkable thing about this company is that it genuinely seeks to help its customers resolve their plumbing issues. So rare in today’s world.

I was dealing with a pernicious shower leak that resisted my best coaxing. Through Angie’s List, I decided to contact the company. I’ve made the right decision. Beacon home services responded immediately and scheduled me for an appointment the next day in the 8:00 am – 4:00 pm time frame. They didn’t provide me a price over the phone, because they didn’t know what the situation entailed. The next day, the company provided me regular update as to when to expect the plumber. They also sent me the bio of John Katsiotis which I didn’t pay much attention to initially.

Mr. Katsiotis arrived closer to the 4:00pm range, which was fine with me. He introduced himself, then quickly and expertly assessed the leak to ensure that it has not worsen over time nor caused any water damage. He understood that I was a little bit anxious with a leak on my hands; so, he calmed my anxieties by assuring me that he can do this work, and stop this annoying leak. He also provided me an unbeatable price right out of the gate to assure me that he wasn’t about getting me, but helping me resolve the situation. I quickly accepted. John, by his plumbing knowledge, skills and abilities, helped me understand the difference between an amateur and a professional. John is a professional. He did in 30 minutes what would have taken me 8 hours or more to complete. He proceeded swiftly to remove the shower handle, determine the cartridge type it was using and replaced it. He had it in stock. John not only fixed the leak, but also educated me about the importance of simple maintenance that could help avoid an expensive repair bill down the line.

I very much enjoyed working with John Katsiotis of Beacon Home Services. He was outstanding. It was like watching an artist at work. After John finished the job, I read the bio and realized it was not a piece of PR fluff. It was real. They mean every word in that bio. And that’s the thing I have come to learn with Beacon Home Services. They mean what they say and say what they mean.

I very much enjoy working with this company. From the courteous man who responded on the phone, to the updates they provided regularly. The company is geared toward one thing, helping their customers with their plumbing and electrical problems. They understand the customer and really seek to help the customer. A reliable plumbing company is hard to find. When you find one, keep them. This company is a keeper. I plan to use them in the future to help resolve any plumbing, electrical or drain issues.

Update: I recently used Beacon again (July 2026) for a large job. I requested Will and he was available for my project. Will had a gentleman working with him, named Nathan, who was also excellent. Scheduling was easy with Rebecca and communication was great. Pricing was very fair, and the work was done over a period of 2 days. This was yet another great experience and I will continue to use Beacon Home Services for future needs.

I used Beacon again (2nd time this year) and requested Will and Bryce for my job (they were the guys that came out for my first job back a few months ago). Scheduling with Rebecca was efficient and communication was good. Will and Bryce came out again, and did a great job with my new project. This was the first time using Beacon Home Services. They were excellent. From scheduling with Rebecca to the completion of resolving my electrical issue, everything went well. Will and Bryce were great. They went over my options and helped me make an informed decision. I was charged a fair price. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Xavier was extremely helpful and quickly diagnosed the issue. He was also very respectful of our home and took the time to thoroughly explain the problem and the recommended solution. We know who to call when we have a hvac problem issue again.

She was so friendly and informative with the details of my appointment and what to expect. On the day of my appointment, Maurice, the electrician was prompt, polite and professional. He took care of my issue and the repair cost was fair. I would highly recommend Beacon Home Services!

Beacon is my new go to for electrical services. I called late in the day yesterday with a concern and was fortunate to reach Mary. She was easy to talk with, very friendly and professional. She lined me up for service this morning with Maurice. He knows his biz and was another friendly and professional face of the company. He thoroughly checked everything to ease my concerns and also installed a surge protector for my home on the spot. Request Maurice as your electrician. I cannot recommend this company enough!

Xavier, Angel, and Lony did a fantastic job installing a new AC for my townhouse. They found a unit that could fit through my doors saving me the cost of renting a crane. They went above and beyond fighting off an unexpected hornets nest on my roof. The entire crew was professional and polite and explained the work in a way that was easy for me to understand. All of this was done on a day where the air pollution from a wildfire was terrible and yet they worked diligently until it was all done!

Beacon was great for what I needed at my home. Rebecca communicated with me and gave me plenty of timely updates on when my technician Shawn A. would arrive. When Shawn A, did arrive, I could tell immediately that he knows exactly what he’s doing, Shawn listened to what my wife and I wanted as far as electrical work, he then gave us some feedback and priced out multiple options for us to choose from. Once we decided, he got right to work and finished our project in less than 5 hours. I would absolutely recommend Beacon for electrical work and will call them with any plumbing or HVAC questions or projects I have moving forward. I found Beacon on Google, and although I don’t always believe what I read on the internet, I do see why Beacon is so highly recommended in the Northern Virginia area. I put in a request for service on Saturday and was immediately contacted and an appointment was set up for Monday. The technician arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem and, after consulting with me about the cost of the repair, replaced the bad GFCI outlet. I thought the service was great and the repair cost reasonable. I am very satisfied with Beacon and will use them again if I have electrical our plumbing needs at my home.

Kevin did a fantastic job with our outlet installation and breaker panel upgrade. He was up front about the work required during his evaluation and explained all the work he would be doing. The outlet he installed was for a wall mounted tv and he hung the tv and mounting bracket back up despite that not being something we asked of him. Would definitely recommend his services. As stated prior I used Beacon Home Services again for their plumbing service. Sean was very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. I received excellent service and he took the time to answer any questions I had concerning the work being completed. He replaced an inside shut off value and outside bib. It was done with little drywall to repair. I will definitely use Beacon Home Services again. Sean thank you for doing a great job.

Our A/C went out during a heatwave, and even though they were overbooked, Angel squeezed us in. He was amazing - super professional, super nice, and he identified the issue right away, fixed it, and gave us a lot good tips as to how to keep the HVAC healthy. When I asked for additional quotes, they were sent right away. I would provide more than five stars if I could. Kelvin our Electrician was great. He was able to find the problem and fix bad wiring that was potentially a fire hazard. The repair was made in a timely manner and I think the price was very reasonable. I will definitely use them again.

Called Beacon Home services this morning. I did not get the name of this nice lady who answered the phone. She was very helpful and got us help within few hours. Zachary was the technician who came to help us. What a nice respectful and honest worker this company has. I would label Zachary as equal to a fresh breeze when weather is at 100 degrees outside.
He explained everything in detail, offered us discounts and was very honest in every proposal.

Mr Friday, the technician, was excellent and offered alternatives. He replaced the attic fan motor and thermostat. He also explained how the system worked since it had not worked since we moved in 4 years ago. I expect 2-4 degree difference in summer temperatures.

Xavier did a great job diagnosing the problem with our HVAC issue and addressed the problem immediately, which was important due to the heat wave.

They were very responsive and did a great job. Juan presented all the options for what we needed done and help us understand the best one. Work was completed in a timely manor too. This wasn’t my first time using them and I would gladly use them next time.

We had a great experience with Beacon. From quote to completed project they kept us in the loop as to when out technician would arrive and exactly what work was to be done. Our technician, Christian, went above and beyond to complete our project in a timely manner. We highly recommend Beacon Home Services.

I’m sure they are more expensive but they do excellent work and they clean up after themselves. They show up when they say they will. Mary was very nice to arrange the work and Brandon was very skillful doing the work. I will surely call them again.

Near the end of December, my hot water heater sprang several leaks on a Sunday. In my attempt to locate a plumber that could possibly come out, I made numerous calls. Beacon just happened to be one of the responders. The following day, Andre showed up and assessed the problem. He gave me a quote to replace the hot water heater along with one other recommendation. I called the office that afternoon to set up the project. Andre showed up the following morning as planned. He told me it would take about 3 hours to complete the project. He actually finished earlier. When I came in to see the new hot water heater and all that he had done, I was pleasa ntly surprised. His work was excellent, down to the cleaning up after he had finished. He took the time to explain what was done abd a few installations that my previous hot water did not have. I could tell he enjoys his work, and, for me, that was a plus! Thank you Beacon for excellent service!

A very special thank you to Mary who was key in keeping me updated pior to Zak's arrival. Zak and Tom did an amazing job! Zak inspected everything from the kitchen sink and dishwasher to laundry room and 2 bathrooms! I expressed some of my interests before he started. But his inspection went beyond the interests which was very good. Zak is very knowledgeable. He took his time in explaining each item that needed attention. I liked the fact that he asked pertinent questions which let me know that he took his work seriously. Once he did his write-up with the estimates, he gave explanations for each which was helpful for me. After that, he proceeded to do the hot water heater flush. Overall, I was very pleased with the plumbing inspection and the hot water heater flush. Thanks again to Zak, Tom and Mary!

A very special thank you to Mr. Friday for the electrical inspection he completed for me today! Many thanks to Rebecca for keeping me updated on when a Technician would be available. She did an amazing job and texted me when a Technician had been assigned and the approximate time he would arrive. This information was helpful because I was in the midst of taking care of some other business. Mr. Friday arrived on time and was very pleasant and cordial. I explained to him that I wanted to do a follow-up on a previous quote I had received from another business. While I did show him what the issues were, he pointed out that one suggested item was the wrong type and that I would need 3 items instead of just replacing the one. He discussed a few other things that I should consider. It was time well spent and I learned a few things in the process. Once he was finished, he confirmed my email address as he would be sending the quotes to me. Once again, thank you Mr. Friday and Rebecca for making this a very pleasant inspection.

Mike was very professional. He checked my issue and even provided information on a possible further project. Mary was also professional and easy to talk to. She noted my issue and provided the right person to fix it. I will definitely recommend Beacon to my family and friends.

Bryce was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained each problem and how he could fix it. Rebecca reached out via text and call to let me know when my appointment window was and as the time got closer would let me know when Bryce was 30 min. out.

The technician Andrew did a great job in repairing a bathroom sink that had several leaks. Very professional and knowledgeable about plumbing issues. Mary did a great job with coordinating and communicating the needs required for this particular job. Beacon Home Services is now my plumbing and electrical contractor.

Beacon is great! Mary was wonderful about keeping me updated and ensuring I knew when each technician would arrive — especially helpful since I had two appointments in one day.

Angel (HVAC) came for routine maintenance, checked everything thoroughly, and took the time to explain acceptable parameters, things to watch for, and steps I could take myself to keep everything running smoothly.

Chris (plumber) came out to quote capping a natural gas line and water line ahead of some upcoming construction. He assessed everything quickly, clearly explained the process, and provided quotes covering both the capping and eventual reinstallation.

Everything was great, executed with care and skill. Dustin, the Master Electrician who came to the house was very thoughtful and thoroughly explained his estimate. His work was well thought out, using safety procedures, and executed efficiently. Courtney, who had set up the service for today (Monday) after the original schedule on Friday slipped beyond the window of time I could work with, was awesome 👌! She listened attentively to all that i shared with her about the weight of the fixture and the site condition, a chandelier over the bottom of a staircase with a ceiling 17'10" high. She planned it out to have the Electrician come as first appointment, and to have the second person standing by to come assist as needed. I am well pleased with the service, the team, and the end result!

Dustin a Beacon Electric electrician is recommended as patient and friendly professional who reinstalled a kitchen semi flush light with the globe. Dustin fixed a wobbling ceiling fan. I called Beacon Electric because their advertising includes remediation of another company’s previous work. Dustin did the work and upon completion went through the function of the light and fan. The previous electrician did not. Beacon Electric coordinates the scheduling with the customer to include that day. Beacon Electric promotes courtesy and professionalism. I will call again.

Dustin came late on a Friday evening to help with an electrical switch that had gone bad. Garbage disposal would not shut off due to it. He was so pleasant despite what was likely a very long day for him.

Our neighbor, who we trust greatly, recommended Beacon and we had them come out when my parents' pipes were making banging noises. I originally scheduled a couple weeks out for when I would be at their house already. The pipes ended up getting much worse a week later so I called to see if they could come that day as our neighbor already had them scheduled. They gave me a window and came in a couple hours. They called ~30 minutes before Chris Wilson, our technician, arrived. Chris was on time and resolved all our issues. Before we recreated the problem, he already knew what the solution was. He explained everything and answered all my questions thoroughly. We needed some valves and other things replaced. He provided estimates before doing any work and broke down the costs and savings based on which services we wanted. He never pressured us to replace our water heater but gave us the pros/cons and the cost breakdown with and without the water heater. We had had our water heater go out when we went on a long trip in the fall and it was 19 years old so we decided to replace it for peace of mind and with the bundle savings, the cost was less than we were expecting. Once we decided we wanted to get the work done, he quickly got started and estimated ~4 hours to finish. He ended up taking closer to 3 and triple checked everything before going. He kept us updated as he did his work and left the place so clean, which was really nice! We were really impressed by his kindness, professionalism, and knowledge. I appreciated that we were able to reschedule our appointment for the same day and that Chris was able to complete all the work the same day that he diagnosed our issues. I would highly recommended Beacon for your plumbing needs (ask for Chris Wilson). They are efficient, transparent, and friendly!

Recently Chris repaired our front faucet leak by installing a frost free spigot carefully in the rain without having to penetrate the drywall and kept indoor and outdoor worksites clean.
