Chris, the Beacon electrician, arrived on time; quickly confirmed my assessment of the issue; had the needed fan replacement motor in his truck; provided me the options and their costs; and quickly installed the replacement motor. He tested and adjusted the motor. The service was professional and courteous and the charge was reasonable. Total customer satisfaction.

Caesar is an expert plumber who is also very personable and able to explain what needs to be done and why. He is very conscientious about doing a thorough job. Also scheduling is very easy. Courtney worked around my schedule and was so pleasant and helpful. Adding on to what I already wrote for the plumber, Friday the electrician just spent the day at my house fixing electrical outlets, mounting under-cabinet lights, and creating recessed lighting in my finished basement and stairway. Friday did a fantastic job, and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you! I have been asked to review again. This was my third time having Caesar come out. I had an active leak, and while the technicians were fully booked, Amy monitored all day and called frequently to let me know the status. She was able to squeeze me in at 4:30, and Caesar was prepared to spend hours to fix the issue, but luckily he was able to resolve it quickly. Even my dogs love Caesar, and they are very choosy! 😉

I was a little put off by not being given a time frame for the visit until the day of. And that was pushed back a number of times until ultimately rescheduled for two days later. That said the tech John was very professional and knowledgeable. He did the job in timely fashion and with good results.

The Beacon technicians installed three security lights onto the back of my home today. They took care to test them for maximum coverage, and patiently answered my questions, addressing my concerns. I am very happy with the job they did today!

Mr. Friday did excellent work at my new condo in Woodbridge. He took the time to make sure the components in my home theater mounting were done correctly. Also , he installed my Chargepoint EV charger exactly the way I expected at a price that was more than reasonable. I offer Beacon my highest recommendation for home theater and EV charging installation!!

Chris fixed an issue with the voltage breaker that powers my pool heat pump, when attempts by 2 other electrians in the past two years ultimately failed. He explained what was doing and why in detail, and the repair actually cost less than his original estimate. I'll use Beacon from now on.

Quick estimate and work, unfortunately two issues arose after the visit: 1) although the tripped fuse temporarily allowed electricity when tested during the visit, since it was not fixed it is now tripped all the time, will need to call a different electrician 2) the wire he was working with or the one next to it had a big metal staple cutting through the insulation. Had to repair myself.

I had an exterior light fixture that was completely ruined and in need of expeditious repair. The gentleman sent out by Beacon, Nelson Mota, was simultaneously expert, considerate, and fleet of hand and eye. I was provided with an immediate assessment of the problem and a reasonable price estimate, and the work was carried out to my satisfaction in less time than I had expected. When I asked, Nelson also provided me with thoughtful comments on the state of the mountings for the original fixture after the damage that ruined it (he had fixed all the issues that needed fixing), and discussed some recent changes to the building code that might be relevant to me in the near future. The entire exercise was a good use of my time as well as a successful repair. I already know I will plan to call Beacon when next I need electrical services for my home.

We had a water pressure issue that required replacing a valve and water tank. The plumber (Cesar) was very professional and laid out his diagnostic in a concise and approachable manner. They worked with me on a reasonable quote after a little back and forth. The quality of the work appears high so far with our usage. I also like that they are more of a mid size company than extremely large, since customer focus is higher. Would recommend and call again.

Despite challenges with scheduling initially, Courtney patiently guided me through the back and forth to have my job locked in. Once this was done, Rebecca identified Chris as my provider. Beacon has protocols for how they proceed with each job, and once those were agreed on, the work began. Chris, the electrician, was amiable and attentive to all my concerns and the job was completed beautifully.

Kelvin Rivera of Beacon came out and took care of 7 hardwired smoke/CO detectors for me in less than an hour and a half. He was on time, efficient, a nice guy, tested the detectors for me, and didn’t complain about all my stairs. I wanted the peace of mind that a professional could provide, and I wasn’t looking to get electrocuted. Not to be forgotten, Rebecca was extremely helpful and responsive with the coordination and dispatch. She kept me in the loop on when to expect Kelvin, and I even made a special request to get in on the earlier part of the day because I had early dinner plans. She was able to make that happen for me. 5 stars, and I would use Beacon again.

May 7, 2025: I lost power to my outdoor shed. Kelvin came out and quickly diagnosed it. After checking all the circuit breakers on my panel he went outside and found the problem. Water had been leaking into an outside GFCI outlet and destroyed it. He quickly replaced it and added a new outside waterproof box. Problem solved. Wow! I’m glad I called Beacon back. I used them last year for some outlet repair work when we had just bought our house. They impressed me again with their quick response, excellent customer service and superior workmanship. David was in our home for two long days. He worked tirelessly and meticulously. Always pleasant, super friendly and a cordial gentleman. It’s obvious he loves his craft. He went above and beyond to make sure that all the work I requested was done to my satisfaction. A true perfectionist, he patched up and cleaned every bit of dust and dirt created by cutting drywall, running wires through walls and ceilings, installing breakers, a sub panel and numerous outlets. Thank you David and thank you Beacon. I highly recommend them. EDIT: I had water hammer in my basement. It was very loud and sometimes the loud banging sound would wake my wife up at night. Zack came out and performed a very thorough whole house plumbing inspection. He recommended and installed a quiet valve near my sump pump. It totally worked and got rid of the loud banging sound every time I flushed the basement toilet or used the sink. He also recommended replacing our water pressure valve, which we did. Zack was very knowledgeable and personable. Again, I’m totally happy with the service I received from everyone at Beacon including Amy who was always pleasant on the phone whenever she called to update me about any scheduling conflicts. EDIT: 7/15/22 This is the second time I've had Joey come here for electrical work. He just finished installing my porch recessed lights. Once again, he did a phenomenal job. Needed an electrician asap. I was able to schedule someone for the next day. Kelvin arrived on time and was able to diagnose and repair my problem that day. I needed a GFCI outlet and some other associated outlets replaced. Very happy with the work so far.

Beacon sent Mr. Friday to assist me in getting my electrical on....the City required a Licensed pro to do this type work on commercial property . Friday was the consummate professional..timely , polite , effective n clean...5 star service n 5 star personality....

We chose Beacon for a relatively big job of replacing our water heater and all the copper pipes in our house (which were 50+ years old and beginning to leak) with PEX mostly based on the experience we had with Luis, who was the plumber that came out for the initial estimate. Beacon's estimate was in the middle of the range compared to others we received, but Luis made the best impression by far and stood out as the person we wanted to work with. He and another plumber (Caesar) were at our house for a week working on the project. Both were extremely professional, friendly, patient (I often bugged them with a lot of questions), and did a good job of communicating. They made sure to point out possible concerns like a dent in the new water heater (which was not their fault), and different options for where temporary holes needed to be made to access the plumbing. It was clear that they both worked very hard; there were a couple of days when they worked from 8am past 6pm to make sure the project would be done by the end of the week. We have not had any issues with the new water heater, new PEX plumbing, or new drainage pipes, and the back office did a good job working out scheduling issues with the county to get the new heater inspected and certified. I would recommend Beacon based on our experience.

Called to have my new gas grill connected to the house supply. Luis came and did amazing job. He made the line long enough to move the griddle around and also included quick connect fitting. He also painted the pipes to prevent rust. I will ask for Luis Ponce in future for my gas hookups.

I recently hired Beacon Home Services to replace the original electrical panel that was installed when my house was built in 1984. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Once the permit was approved by PWC, the team arrived fully prepared—with a supervisor, a generator, and a clear plan for the day.
