I received fantastic service from Beacon services. They reached out to provide updates on their technicians status throughout the entire process. I asked for an additional service to be added to my original request and they did not hesitate to assist. Nelson was the best and he was knowledgeable of 2025 home requirements. My kitchen faucet developed a major leak. I bought a new faucet via Amazon thinking I can always return it if needed. The service I received from Beacon was efficient and pleasant from start to finish. Lots of places promise to call when the service provider is en route and Beacon fully lived up to this promise. Our plumber Cesar from Beacon was courteous, helpful especially in answering all my questions, talking me through options, diagnosing another plumbing issue in my home, and replacing the faucet using the one I’d purchased in advance. An excellent experience from start to finish. Thanks to Angie’s list for helping me find Beacon. Will gladly use Beacon again and highly recommend them and especially Cesar.

Bryce from Beacon was great! He arrived on time, presented me with different options to get the job done, and the pricing was affordable and upfront. I've had a fantastic experience with Beacon, from my initial call to the completed work. In fact, every person I spoke with, from scheduling to payment, was so pleasant and fun to talk to. I was even able to call on a Thursday and get an electrician out the very next day for an estimate and had the work completed! I will definitely use Beacon again for my electrical needs.

Update - August 26. Another "Well Done" and impressive performance! Had to call Beacon for an electrical issue in my rental. Their proactive professionalism paid off and they had two technicians on site within two hours. Residing in another state, one of the technicians, Milton Iraheta called and gave me the 3 options and repair costs for each. I selected the lower option to start out. Within 15 minutes, he and his co worker Marvin identified the trouble as an electrical surge which fried the bathroom light and ceiling fan. Then he offered to place a surge protector on my circuit panel to preclude this from happening again. I agreed. It turned out that one was installed on the circuit panel 15 months ago and was still under warranty. Therefore, this surge replacement was free. Beacon is an outstanding company with sharp technicians who stand by their work, products and warranties. I have been extremely pleased and most strongly recommend them for electrical services! The Beacon team was very professional, responsive and thorough from the get-go! Milton, Michelle and Rebecca were all impressive! Milton, being on site, kept me informed by both phone and email since I was the owner and residing out of area. My tenant, Darel was pretty savvy on basic understanding of electrical problems and he too was equally impressed with Milton and his workers! My tenant told me that Milton also found and repaired several electrical flaws that weren’t even being considered. I had 4 options to choose from and elected to go with the top option since the townhouse was over 35 years old. Now, everything is up to code! Electrical problems need to be corrected right and taking “short cuts” could be a killer. I feel 100 percent confident that Beacon is the team to do it right and keep the house safe! As a retired 30 year Navy combat fighter pilot, it was rewarding to know that this professional, dedicated, highly talented and conscientious team performed as and better than expected. I most strongly recommend them!

Friday arrived on time to install an electrical outlet in my bathroom. He explained everything well and finished the work very quickly. He even pointed out some issues related to our HVAC system, which I very much appreciated.

Kelvin Rivera is an outstanding technician. He troubleshot the cause of an intermittent recessed lighting problem in our kitchen in less than 10 minutes. He provided a detailed, reasonable repair estimate, had replacement parts on hand and completed the repairs in 15 minutes time. Punctual, friendly and professional. Hire Beacon for your next electrical project and ask for Kelvin! You won’t be disappointed.

Ahmad S came over to do a lighting estimate of the house. He was very professional and provided all of the options available in our rooms. He was even prepared to start work immediately if I wanted to go through with the install.

Mr. Friday did excellent work at my new condo in Woodbridge. He took the time to make sure the components in my home theater mounting were done correctly. Also , he installed my Chargepoint EV charger exactly the way I expected at a price that was more than reasonable. I offer Beacon my highest recommendation for home theater and EV charging installation!! I also want to offer kudos to Mr. Craig from the Beacon team. He worked hard to get my new bedroom ceiling fan (60" w/ LED light system and remote control) working, and offered sound advice in trying to find the best solution for the room. Gabriel was dispatched by the office team and Mary to fix and replace 3 electrical fixtures. Gabriel was prompt, efficient and friendly. This is why we continue to come back to them for electrical work and maintain our lighthouse club membership. Ahmad was very helpful installing my replacement ceiling fan/light combo. He detected what was broken in my current light wiring and installed the new LED version.

Nelson came by and replaced a GFCI that had gone bad and installed a new one in my laundry area. He is professional, courteous, knowledgeable and just very, very nice. Beacon is lucky to have him!

He gave some recommendations and told us to call if we had any issues going forward. Very polite, honest and on time. Mary was also gracious enough to call me after the service to ensure the work was completed. Great team over at Beacon!

Had a wonderful experience. They came out within less than 24hrs. Saved my house from having a fire. He worked diligently, explained everything he was doing and quoted all my options so we felt comfortable with what we could afford.

This is the first time I had used Beacon and I highly recommend them based on the results of this visit. They were prompt in responding to my emergency request, and the electrician that arrived on time did an excellent job of stabilizing the situation.

Marvin and Nelson were awesome. They were professional and courteous. Nelson provided an estimate and expert opinion with various options to choose from. Scheduling was easy as well either next day installation or on a day of my choosing. On the day of installation, I received a notification about the time of arrival. Nelson checked with me on the placement of the lights (recess lights installation) and cleaned everything up well afterwards. I also thought the dimmer light could be more dim and they adjusted that for me. Then during the walkthrough Nelson also provided education on what to look for in a defective light. He also pointed out other areas that may need assistance in the future. These are great insights that I did not catch. I recommend Beacon and the team of Nelson/Marvin!

Beacon and Jon are definitely our go to plumbers. I am an interior designer and have been through multiple plumbers to try and fix valve in our person home primary shower. 6+ plumbers and 3+ years later Jon is the one who knew exactly what to do and how to fix without destroying our marble shower. Jon also diagnosed and fixed tankless hot water heater others couldn’t figure out (others wanted to replace). So very grateful. Pleasant to work with, professional and knowledgeable. Strongly recommend.

I had an issue that needed quick diagnostic and repair. Mary was very professional and descriptive about the dispatching, scheduling and fees. Zak showed up a couple of hours later. He took the time to explain everything to me and showed me all of my options. He performed all the worked that I approved and provided additional information on other preventative maintenance. These guys are great and I would certainly use them in the future when needed.

Nelson and his partner Gabriel did a fantastic job! Nelson took his time and answered any and all questions I had. Provided a detailed explanation for everything that he saw that needed work, and the level of priority on getting that work done. Updating this review for new electrical work done for our home by Ahmad Shaban. Firstly, scheduling went well thanks to Rebecca for being so diligent on finding a good time for me. She was very pleasant and professional. We recently had Ahmad come by for an inspection, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service. He was extremely thorough, identifying various improvements and electrical issues around our home. His knowledge and expertise were clear from the start, and he took the time to walk me through everything in a way that was easy to understand. On top of that, he was incredibly kind, polite, and professional throughout the entire visit. I truly appreciated how friendly and approachable he was, making the whole experience stress-free. Excellent service all around — I would be more than happy to work with him again if the need arises! — I had a great experience with Beacon Home Services for electrical and plumbing work. The wiring in our panel was fried, which broke our water heater. The team replaced the water heater, ensured the electrical was working correctly, and installed a recirculation pump—now we get near-instant hot water instead of waiting some time for the water to get hot. From the start, Candis and Rebecca were highly responsive and kept me informed about scheduling. Milton thoroughly explained the electrical issues and took care of addressing them, and Luis worked diligently to test everything, answer my questions, and ensure our system was working perfectly. Initially, the pricing was higher than we expected, but becoming a member helped reduce costs, which was very helpful to us. Overall, I really appreciate their professionalism. Now we have improved electrical and a brand new water heater with a recirculation pump. Thank you!

Needed dryer circuit breaker replaced. Job completed within 15 minutes. Hernain was pleasant and quick. A less than 15 min job costs $345. That's why I marked them down a star.

Great experience with Beacon. Mary did excellent coordinating my service and keeping me informed on when my technician would arrive. I would highly recommend Cesar for any work that needs to be done. Professional and extremely personable to work with!

The kitchen sink was not draining well, so I made an appointment with Beacon Home Service. To be honest, I wasn’t very satisfied with the booking process. I first contacted them on Wednesday, but the earliest appointment I could get was for the following Monday. Then, late Monday afternoon, I was told they couldn’t come that day, so we rescheduled for Tuesday. However, Jonathan, who came to do the repair, was so meticulous and thorough in identifying and resolving the issue that he completely made up for my earlier dissatisfaction with the booking process. He was highly professional, so I also asked him to replace the faucet connected to the washing machine. Jonathan handled everything skillfully. Although the total cost was a bit higher than I had expected, I was satisfied with the overall service, and I plan to use this company again if the need arises.

I usually don’t write reviews but in this instance I’ll make an exception. I am a repeat customer of Beacon’s and I keep coming back for three reasons 1) they do an excellent job (my house is old and so is the plumbing and they always fix the problem well.) 2) they care and are very thorough. And 3) they are a small business and in an age of mega corporations and required memberships and price gouging it’s important to me to support small business. You will be happy with Beacon.

Beacon Electric was a great find to install our EV charger! The whole process of booking the appointment, confirming, being on time and of course performing the installation of a 240V Level2 charger had no problems whatsoever. Special shoutout to Sean for his professional service and great customer demeanor!

In July, my house lost air conditioning, but it was an electrical issue with the circuit breaker on the panel. After fighting with my home warranty for a few weeks, I became tired of not having AC. Thanks to John G. and Rebecca from Beacon Home Services, we were able to get the issue fixed on the next day. John was very thorough and patient in his assessment of the issue and did an amazing job.

The electricians were polite, good communicators, and skilled at their work. We will call upon Beacon again.

Ahmad did excellent work to protect the electrical infrastructure and provide recommendations. I highly recommend Ahmad.

Unbeknownst to me, a tree fell upstream (electrically), and while it did not break the positive, (black), wires, it separated the neutral wire at a junction, which caused a surge through my house, blowing my office surge protectors and burning out a few LED bulbs that were burning and causing my computer's UPS to shut down and go onto battery. It destroyed my coffee maker and burned out the LED's on the gas stove and the electric starter on the oven. Word to the wise - I did NOT have a surge protector installed on my breaker box. GET ONE. While NOVEC was on the way, he installed a surge protector on my breaker box, and we went through the house and checked the damage. He was quick, courteous, knowledgeable, and very competent. They charged me $994 for the emergency service. The part they installed would have cost $192 on Amazon, and I paid $200 for the emergency service, so I paid $602 for labor, time, and expertise. In todays world, I'm not surprised. The man who did the work was worth what I paid. Replacing all that was damaged will cost that and more.

I just had a GREAT experience with Beacon. Maurice G and Devin E came out to quote me on a lot of electrical work, including a new panel and charging port. They genuinely felt like trustworthy guys, so we initiated about 4 days of work. I couldn't be happier with the level of detail and service the guys provided. Please, if you need work done, consider Beacon and more importantly, ask for Maurice and Devin. The panel itself looks like a work of art!

Unbeknownst to me, a tree fell downstream (electrically), and while it did not break the positive, (black), wires, it separated the neutral wire at a junction, which caused a surge through my house, blowing my office surge protectors and burning out a few LED bulbs that were burning and causing my computer's UPS to shut down and go onto battery. Zack was prompt, courteous and thorough. He expected a relatively simple job but ran into a number of issues which changed a 2 hour job into a 7 hour one. He didn’t complain or act rushed. He explained everything completely. I was confident in his work. I will have him back for our next job. Zak was great and Mary was very helpful.

I have used Beacon Home Services twice to replace our gas lantern stems which weren’t working properly. I ordered the parts and they did the install. I found BHS on Angi, so I felt this was a good choice. At the front end, Courtney and others I spoke with were very responsive. It was easy to book an appointment. Even though we drained the pipes to the outside before winter, apparently the pipes didn’t drain completely and we had a busted pipe. Antonio and Corham arrived on time, were very courteous and professional and kept me apprised of how the plumbing job was progressing. Antonio provided helpful explanations of how the new outside faucet works, how to drain both outside faucets properly before winter. They also flushed out the water heater and installed a new expansion tank on the water heater. They cleaned up nicely when the work was completed. I would call Beacon Home Services again for any plumbing needs.

I called Beacon Home Services because one of my smoke alarms had stopped working and was chirping, which was an emergency. Beacon's technician John came the same day—he was very professional and thorough. He replaced the alarm and gave recommendations regarding our electrical system. Beacon Home Services came out to my home to perform extensive electrical work. Will B. and Tyler (apprentice) were very professional. Rebecca made sure scheduling went smoothly. They installed 30+ recessed lights, dimmer switches, usb outlets, whole house surge protection, an attic fan, and power for an HVAC system. Communication as excellent, their prices were fair, and their trucks come well stocked. They were also able to start work immediately. The entire project took four days.
